Finland School Shooting Leaves at least Nine Dead, Two Injured

A male student believed to be in his early 20s went on a shooting spree at a college in the western town of Kauhajoki in Finland killing at least nine and injuring two.

The student was dressed in black and wore a ski mask and was carrying a large bag when he entered one of the buildings at the college and opened fire.

On Monday police interviewed the gunman after he had posted a video on the popular video-sharing site YouTube in which he was seen firing a gun. Police did not revoke his firearm license; he had registered a .22 caliber firearm earlier this year.

Reports have indicated the gunman shot himself in the head following the gunfire and he was taken to a hospital where his condition is unknown.
