Greg Oden out for the season

Portland Trail Blazers recently announced that Greg Oden will be out for the season. Oden is scheduled to have microfracture surgery on his left knee tomorrow.  Oden had the same surgery on his right knee in 2007 that cost him his rookie season.

As a result of Oden being only 22, he has lots of time to recover from his injuries giving him high hopes for a promising and long career in the NBA.  On the bad side, the Blazers did not extend his contract so he will be a free agent this summer.  We wish Oden a speedy recovery.
