The newest amateur golf tour, the U.S. Putting Tour, announced it is providing free golf and putting tips to golfers at its website.
The founder and president of the tour is Jim Hartley, who co-authored the book, Smart Golf, with Hale Irwin. Mr. Hartley said he will provide swing tips and golf strategy via the U.S. Putting Tour website.
"The U.S. Putting Tour business and website provide me with a forum to share insights on the game with amateur golfers of all ability levels," said Hartley. "My plan is to continue to provide new tips and advice both through the website and the U.S. Putting Tour blog."
The
amateur putting tour will hold a series of local qualifying tournaments throughout the year leading up to the
national putting championship in September 2011. The championship is scheduled for The Crossings in Carlsbad, California.
The tips provided at the website will help golfers hone the
proper golf swing and putting stroke. In addition, the strategic golf advice will enable golfers to play to their strengths and minimize the negative impact of their weaknesses, thereby lowering their scores.
Golfers can learn more about the putting tour and can enter the national championship at the official website. They're also able to email info@usputtingtour.com for more information.
