Paul McCartney Arrives in Israel Ahead of Thursday Night Concert

Paul McCartney arrived at Ben-Gurion airport in Israel on Wednesday, one day ahead of his first ever concert in the Middle East country.

McCartney, 66, has received death threats for scheduling the concert as Palestinian protestors expressed anger over Israel’s occupation of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel has likened Israel’s occupation to South Africa’s government of apartheid and believe McCartney should refrain from holding the concert in the country.

McCartney has said his Tel Aviv concert is meant to promote “a message of peace and love” to the Middle East.
