John McCain Suspends Presidential Campaign to Work on Washington Bailout Talks

Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain has announced he would suspend his presidential campaign to turn his attention to Washington and the current bailout situation involving several investment banks.

McCain has called upon Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to do the same, requesting the Ill. senator join him in Washington to work out a deal that will solve the current financial crisis that has gripped the nation.

The first presidential debate was scheduled for Friday in Oxford, Miss, McCain has asked to have that debate postponed.
