Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are
bearing all on magazine covers this week. The pair is posing in the nude on
three different covers including Entertainment Weekly to promote their upcoming
film “Love and Other Drugs.” This isn’t the first time for either actor when it
comes to disrobing in front of the camera- Hathaway appeared topless in the
indie film “Havoc” and Gyllenhaal is no stranger to the odd flash here and
there, but photographer James White who shot the provocative cover pictures
admits that he thought it would be a little more uncomfortable for the amiable
pair than it was.
He told EW,“I thought they'd be a little more tense about it
than they were, but it was surprisingly low-key. I guess after making a movie
like that with each other, it's not too big of a deal”. The flick is rated R,
and Anne appears in the buff on screen as well. She says that while she was a
little nervous about it at first, she gotten used to it by the time filming
wrapped up.
“There is that revoltingly embarrassing moment when you have to take your clothes off in front of strangers,” Anne told EW in the article accompanying the shoot. “I mean, I don't go to the beach in a bikini for a reason. So I thought, 'Okay, I'm going to be in control. I'm going to do everything properly, disrobe at the last minute, and in between shots get the clothes back on.' But then I found that every time I put my robe back on, it rubbed all the body makeup off, and that added 20 minutes to filming.” Anne added, “As with all things in life, the second you stop making it about you and you make it about everyone else, it just got, dare I say, fun.”
