Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Debuts Today
The first part of the final book comes to life on the big screen
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 debuted last night and did not disappoint. Fans of the books and films, many of whom dressed up for the occasion, came out for the earliest possible screenings at midnight to see the newest installment of Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of the gang.
The movie was very well done and left many in the audience talking about it afterward. The pacing was engaging and entertaining so even fans who did not read the books were able to follow the story clearly.
As often happens in movies adapted from books, many plot elements were condensed to maintain the movie's sense of timing. The Deathly Hallows did very well to explain these omitted plot developments through natural dialogue, they never felt forced and kept viewers up to speed.
The movie ends on a cliffhanger and left fans, both new and old, anxious for the release of the series' eighth and final film next year, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
