Big 12 College Football Schedule for Week 5

College football in the Big 12 begins Saturday as the 2008 season gets kicked into high gear despite no conference games this week.

The Big 12 sports five teams in the AP Top 25 rankings, three of which are in the top 10, including the #2 Oklahoma Sooners, who will likely move into the top position after #1 USC’s upset loss to unranked Oregon State. The Sooners will play another top 25 team in #24 TCU on Saturday.

#7 Texas Longhorns will play its rescheduled game against Arkansas on Saturday. The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 13, but was postponed due to Hurricane Ike.

Nebraska Cornhuskers and Colorado Buffaloes will both play teams that were previously ranked in the top 25. Nebraska will take on the Virginia Tech Hokies, while Colorado will face the Florida State Seminoles.

#6 Missouri Tigers, #10 Texas Tech Red Raiders, #18 Kansas Jayhawks, Baylor Bears and Iowa State Cyclones all have a bye this week.
