Although reports earlier in the week declared he would return, Reggie Bush did not play against Seattle on Sunday.
New Orleans listed the running back as inactive right before today’s game. Bush was seen working in the Superdome before the game, but was ultimately ruled to rest by coaches, trainers, and doctors. This is the 8th week in a row that Bush has missed action after breaking his calf bone against San Francisco in Week 2.
Luckily, the Saints (7-3) didn’t really need him as they coasted to a 34-19 win over the Seahawks this afternoon. They play next at Dallas on Thanksgiving Day.
A league source says Bush, as well as fellow inactive back Pierre Thomas, could be ready to go for Thursday’s game against the Cowboys.
