AP Top 25 College Football Scores: Sam Bradford Positions #2 Oklahoma Sooners for Top Spot after Pounding #24 TCU

Sam Bradford threw for 411 yards and four touchdowns while Manuel Johnson had five receptions for 206 yards and three TDs as the #2 Oklahoma Sooners (4-0) pounded the #24 TCU Horned Frogs (4-1) 35-10 on Saturday night and now appear set to claim the top spot in the AP Top 25 following the fall of the USC Trojans on Thursday.

All four of Bradford’s touchdown passes were over 20 yards, his shortest a 24-yard strike to Juaquin Iglesias gave the Sooners a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. After TCU kicked a field goal Chris Brown scored on a one-yard run for Oklahoma and then Bradford hooked up with Johnson on a 76-yard TD toss to push the advantage to 21-3 at the end of one.

Oklahoma took their time in the second quarter, waiting until the final minute to add points to the board but once again Bradford found Johnson and 55-yards later the Sooners were up 28-3.

Bradford would hook up with Johnson one more time in the third quarter, this one a 63-yard touchdown and leading 35-3 the Sooners offense shut down for the night. TCU punched in a score in the fourth quarter but they never threatened Oklahoma.

Oklahoma will travel to Baylor next week while TCU hosts San Diego State.
