NFL Scores Week 4: Brett Favre Tosses Six TDs as NY Jets Build Big Lead, Hold on to Drop Arizona Cardinals

Brett Favre threw for 289 yards and a career-high six touchdowns, Laveranues Coles had 105 yards receiving and three TDs, Jerricho Cotchery had 67 yards receiving and a pair of scores and the New York Jets (2-2) jumped to a 34-0 halftime lead and went on to beat the Arizona Cardinals (2-2) 56-35 on Sunday.

The Jets put 34 points on the board in the second quarter as Favre hit Coles on touchdown tosses of 12, 34 and 2-yards while Darrelle Revis returned a Kurt Warner interception 32-yards for a touchdown and Jay Feely kicked a pair of field goals as the Jets led 34-0 at halftime.

Arizona tried to climb back into the game in the third quarter as Edgerrin James scored on a pair of touchdown runs and Tim Hightower scored on a one-yard run to cut their deficit to 34-21 but Favre pushed the Jets advantage back to 21 on a 17-yard toss to Cotchery early in the fourth quarter and after Warner hit Anquan Boldin on an 8-yard TD Favre answered with a 40-yarder to Cotchery.

The fireworks continued as Warner then found Jerheme Urban on a 24-yard score to bring the Cardinals to within 48-35 with 4:49 left in the game but Favre sealed it with his sixth touchdown pass of the game, a 24-yarder to Dustin Keller.

While Warner threw for 472 yards and two touchdowns he accounted for six of the Cardinals seven turnovers. The Arizona quarterback tossed three interceptions and fumbled three times.
