Tomorrow 11/25 is Thanksgiving in the United Sates

Thursday November 25 is Thanksgiving in the United States.  The country has been celebrating Thanksgiving for centuries, but has officially recognized the holiday starting in 1942.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed a bill on December 26, 2941 which gave the nation a day off.  Banks do not open, the stock market is closed and many businesses do not open their doors.

Next year Thanksgiving will be celebrated November 24, 2011.
