Monday Night Football Schedule: Pittsburgh Steelers Host Baltimore Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) will host rival Baltimore Ravens (2-0) on Monday Night Football on ESPN.

The Ravens are currently atop the AFC North division, surprising many who entered the preseason believing that Baltimore would finish at the bottom of the division.

The Steelers will start rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall as their All-Pro starter Willie Parker is out due to injury. All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu is listed as probable.

The Ravens have listed starting running back Willis McGahee as probable as well after getting poked in the eye twice against the Cleveland Browns.

Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco has played very well thus far, garnering early support to be named the AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year. He will look to Derrick Mason and Todd Heap to attack the Steelers secondary, which will be severely depleted if their leader Polamalu does not play.

On the ground, the Ravens have the NFL's top rushing offense, averaging 190 yards per game. However, they are going against the Steelers defense, which is second in the league in rushing defense.

Ben Roethlisberger has more offensive talent accompanying him on the Steelers with Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes and Heath Miller. However, this game is slated to be a defensive battle.

The Ravens, led by Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs, are the NFL's top overall defense (161.5 ypg) by 70 yards per game to the second-ranked Steelers (234 ypg). The Ravens have the top passing defense and are third in rushing defense.
