Robert Plant, former lead singer of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, announced there would be no reunion tour with his mates and that he plans to take a few years off after his U.S. tour with Alison Krauss ends in October.
Plant, along with other members of Led Zeppelin, has been the subject of much speculation after they announced they would be getting together for a one-time charity performance at London’s O2 Arena last December.
Fans were hopeful the band would put together a reunion tour but the idea never really took off with Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page or bass player John Paul Jones. Led Zeppelin broke apart shortly after their drummer, John Bonham, died during a drinking binge in 1980.
During their charity performance in memory of music executive Ahmet Ertegün the group had John Bonham’s son Jason Bonham fill in on drums.
