USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings: Oklahoma Sooners Are New #1
Oklahoma Sooners have moved up one spot to become the top-ranked team in the USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 college football rankings.
After a week of upsets, USC Trojans drops eight spots from the No. 1 position last week after a shocking 27-21 upset to unranked Oregon State Beavers.
#4 Georgia Bulldogs were destroyed early, down 31-0 at home to #10 Alabama Crimson Tide. The Tide won 41-30 as they skyrocket to the No. 2 position in the YourFindit Top 25, while UGA falls to #10. SEC rival #4 Florida Gators were upset at home by unranked Mississippi Rebels, 31-30.
Overall, nine ranked teams lost last week, including six teams that were upset by unranked opponents. Three of the top five teams and four of the top 10 in the USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 were upset.
Three teams dropped out of the top 25, including Clemson Tigers, Illinois Fighting Illini, and TCU Horned Frogs.
Oklahoma State Cowboys, Virginia Tech Hokies and Connecticut Huskies replace the aforementioned teams as they moved into the top 25.
