The Detroit Shock will head to their third straight WNBA Finals after defeating the New York Liberty, 75-73, on Monday.
Taj McWilliams-Franklin scored 15 of her 19 points in the second half to help lead the Shock. McWilliams-Franklin, Deanna Nolan and Katie Smith combined for 56 of the team's 75 points.
The Shock won the best-of-three Eastern Conference finals and advanced to play San Antonio for the championship. Detroit beat Sacramento in 2006 for its second league title, then lost in five games to Phoenix last year.
