T.I. Releases New Album "Paper Trail" on Tuesday
T.I., the Grammy-Award winning rapper, released his new album Paper Trail, his sixth solo album, on Tuesday, September 30.
The title Paper Trail refers to the lyrics he had written down on paper, showing how careful he wanted the focus to be on this album. Since his debut album I'm Serious, T.I. has made songs by memorizing lyrics in his head.
The first main single off of Paper Trail is "Whatever You Like," which has become the most successful single in T.I.'s career, breaking the record for the highest jump to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, jumping from #71 to #1.
"Whatever You Like" is T.I.'s first solo number one on the chart.
"What Up, What's Haapnin" is the second main single on the album and his second video. The video is set in front of the Bowen Homes project in the Bankhead section of Atlanta, which is home to T.I.'s rival Shawty Lo, whom the song makes constant references to.
"Swagga Like Us," which features Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne, is the second main single on the album. The song will also be on Jay-Z's new album Blueprint 3.
"Live Your Life" featuring Rihanna and "Swing Ya Rag" featuring Swizz Beatz have also been released to the radio.
In addition to aforementioned features, Paper Trail also features Ludacris, Justin Timberlake, Usher and John Legend, in addition to producers DJ Toomp, Just Blaze and Danja.
