Big Ten Race Ends In 3-Way Tie

By Jesse Rousseau

Who’s the best in the Big Ten? It’s debatable.

Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State all finished 11-1 overall and 7-1 in conference. Therefore, the final BCS standings released on December 5th will serve as the tiebreaker. The top team wins a trip to the Rose Bowl.

Wisconsin holds the advantage with its #5 ranking and 70-23 rout over Northwestern this weekend. Ohio State and Michigan State also won this weekend, but are ranked lower at #8 and #11 respectively.

In addition, the Badgers handed Ohio State its only defeat this season while the Spartans and Buckeyes did not play each other.

Currently, the Big Ten does not have a conference championship game. It is believed the conference will play its first title game next season. However, until that point, the team with the best record claims the top spot.
