World Cup 2010 European Qualifier: Group One Schedule for Oct. 11
The World Cup 2010 European Qualifying stages continue on October 11 with Group One heading into their third match with Albania holding a surprising lead atop the group.
Albania opened with a draw against Sweden and then blanked Malta 3-0 but they’ll have their work cut out for them when they travel to face Hungary who are in need of a victory after drawing with Denmark and falling to Sweden.
Portugal will also feel the pressure to secure a win when they face Sweden after dropping what seemed like a certain win to Denmark after they blasted Malta in their opener. The Swiss drew with Albania in their opener and then knocked off Hungary in their second match.
Denmark gets their chance to face Malta on Oct. 11 and after a draw with Hungary and a victory over Portugal they are expected to add another three points against a much weaker opponent. Malta has been awful, having allowed seven goals while netting none against Portugal and Albania.
