World Cup 2010 European Qualifier: Group Two Schedule for Oct. 11
The World Cup 2010 European Qualifying stages continue on October 11 with Group Two heading into their third match with Greece holding a two point lead atop the group.
Greece has looked impressive in both their victories as they blanked Luxembourg in their opened 3-0 and followed that with a 2-0 win over Latvia. They’re expected to add another three points when they face Moldova who has dropped both matches thus far, a 2-1 loss to Latvia and a 2-1 loss to Israel.
Israel is sitting in second after a 2-2 draw with Switzerland and the 2-1 win over Moldova but they’ll have their hands full when they travel to take on Luxembourg who sits one point back of Israel after falling to Greece but bouncing back against Switzerland.
Switzerland will look to get back on track after a disappointing start to Group Two qualifying as they drew with Israel and lost 2-1 to Luxembourg. The Swiss will host Latvia who knocked off Moldova 2-1 in their opener and then fell 2-0 to Greece.
