Travis Henry, the former Denver Broncos running back, was arrested Tuesday for trafficking multiple kilograms of cocaine, the Drug Enforcement Administration reported Wednesday.
Jeffrey D. Sweetin, the special agent in charge of the Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, announced the arrest on Wednesday.
Henry and another man, James Mack, were arrested Tuesday after "as a result of a multi-kilogram cocaine transaction" in Centennial, CO, according to a statement.
The two men are being held pending the filing of federal drug charges in U.S. District Court later today in Denver.
Henry was released by the Denver Broncos on June 2 after rushing for 691 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games last season.
Over parts of seven NFL seasons, with stints in Buffalo, Tennessee and Denver, the 2002 Pro Bowl selection has rushed for 6,086 yards and 38 touchdowns.
Henry, 28, made national attention when it was reported that he has nine kids with nine different women. He was almost arrested in 2007 for not being able to pay $9,800 in child support despite being under a multi-million contract.
