Liam Gallagher “can’t be bothered” with partying anymore.
The 38-year-old Beady Eye frontman – who has two sons,
11-year-old Lennon from his marriage to Patsy Kensit and nine-year-old
Gene with current wife Nicole Appleton –prefers a quiet night in with
his family and claims he has never been a fan of glitzy showbiz bashes.
Speaking at the afterparty for Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’ concert
on Saturday (27.11.10) hosted by Wyld, W Hotels and American Express,
he told the Daily Star newspaper: “I haven’t really been out for 24
years. Everyone thinks they’re so cool.
“I could be somewhere else to be honest –at home or with my mates.
“I don’t do it as much as I used to. I just can’t be bothered with these parties any more.”
Despite saying he no longer enjoys partying, Liam appeared to be having
a good time at the bash – which also marked the launch of new bar Wyld,
which will open in the W London – Leicester Square hotel next February
– where he was joined by celebrity guests including Kate Moss, Jarvis
Cocker, Jade Jagger, Samantha Morton and Primal Scream themselves, who
arrived after their triumphant show at London’s Olympia venue.
Earlier this year Liam admitted he had curbed his alcohol consumption, but still insisted he can outdrink any of his friends.
He said: “I don’t drink as much as I used to but when I go, I f***ing go. I’ll be the last f***ing one standing.”
