Casey Anthony Officially A Suspect for Missing Daughter Caylee's Disappearance Case
Casey Anthony was officially named a suspect Wednesday in the disappearance of her three-year old daughter Caylee.
Anthony, 22, was previously considered a person of interest in the case of her missing daughter but, until now, has not been called a suspect.
Anthony has been charged with child neglect and lying to investigators, and has spent been brief periods behind bars since the case broke. She is currently under house arrest at her parent's
Anthony has maintained that she does not know where Caylee is. She has continually told investigators that she dropped her daughter off with a babysitter and when she returned, both were gone. Casey didn't report Caylee missing for more than a month.
Police found evidence in the form of remnants of a decomposed body in Anthony's trunk, stating that they believe that Caylee is dead. They also believe that Casey has been lying to them and, despite being bailed out several times, Caylee has still not been truthful.
Anthony's fiance' Jesse Grund urged Casey to tell the truth in a revealing interview on NBC's "Today Show" on Wednesday. "Casey, tell the truth. This isn't about you anymore," Grund said. "This is about Caylee. Stop dragging people's lives through this, stop destroying people's lives and tell the truth."
When Lauer asked Grund if he thinks Anthony hurt her daughter, Grund replied, "Who knows the real Casey? I think only she does. I think her personality has been so changed and molded over the years, I don't even know if she knows who she is."
