AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #10 South Florida Golden Bulls Takes on Pittsburgh Panthers

The #10 South Florida Golden Bulls will take on the Pittsburgh Panthers on ESPN at 7:30pm EST on Thursday.

USF is led by dual-threat quarterback Matt Grothe, who has thrown for 1,175 yards and leads the team with 219 rushing yards. His two favorite targets are Jessie Hester Jr. (22 catches, 225 yards) and Taurus Johnson (17 catches, 254 yards).

On defense, South Florida is led by All-American George Selvie, who led the nation in tackles for loss (31.5) and was second in sacks (14.5). However, this season, Selvie has been disappointing, gathering just four TFLs and two sacks thus far this season.

Despite Selvie's lack of performance, the USF defense is one of the nation's best, ranking fourth in rushing defense and eighth in total defense. The Golden Bulls defense leads the Big East in every major defensive category.

Pittsburgh's defense is led by one of the nation's linebackers in Scott McKillop, who leads the Big East in tackles (40) and tackles for loss (6). On offense, LeSean McCoy is the star, gathering 391 rushing yars thus far this season.

Pitt was ranked in the AP Top 25 preseason college football rankings, but their opening 27-17 loss to unranked Bowling Green knocked them out.
