AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #2 Alabama Crimson Tide Battles Kentucky Wildcats
The #2 Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday at 3:30pm EST on CBS.
The Crimson Tide (5-0) are coming off of a huge upset win against then-No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs, 41-30, skyrocketing them up the AP Top 25 college football rankings. Alabama looks to rewrite the #2 curse that plagued teams last year as five straight #2 teams lost once they were ranked in that position.
The Alabama offense is led by John Parker Wilson, who became the school's all-time leader in passing yards, and running back Glen Coffee, who leads the SEC's top rushing offense.
However, the stars of the offense are offensive lineman Andre Smith, who is considered the best lineman in the nation, and freshman sensation Julio Jones, who leads the team with 16 catches for 226 yards.
On defense, Nick Saban's Crimson Tide are ranked third in rushing defense and are led by defensive tackle Terrance "Mount" Cody and linebacker Rolando McClain.
Kentucky (4-0) comes into the game with the nation's top scoring defense, but will have to fight hard as they battle Alabama, the SEC's top scoring offense. Kentucky also has the No. 3 pass efficiency defense and the fourth-ranked total defense.
