AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #14 Auburn Tigers Battles Surprising #19 Vanderbilt Commodores

The #13 Auburn Tigers will take on the rising #19 Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday at 6pm EST on ESPN.

The Commodores are one of the most surprising teams in the nation, ranked last in the preseason in the SEC East. Currently, Vandy is the top team in the division with a 4-0 record and ranked in the AP Top 25 college football rankings.

Their keys to success have not been an explosive offense or a devastating defense, but punt returns and turnovers. D.J. Moore leads the nation in punt returns, while Vandy's defense leads the country in turnover margin, both of which are very underrated but vital areas of football.

On the contrary, Auburn has a negative turnover margin, but has a devastating defense, ranking fifth in scoring defense and 11th in total defense. The Tigers defense is led by Sen'Derrick Marks, whom many consider to become the first defensive lineman drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft. Marks leads the SEC in tackles for loss (7), while Antonio Coleman leads in sacks (4).

Auburn has its struggles on offense, ranking at the very bottom in the nation in passing, total and scoring offense. Their duo of Ben Tate and Brad Lester must kicking their rushing game into high gear in order for the Tigers to maximize their potential.
