Christina Aguilera has met her rumoured new boyfriend's mother.
The 'Beautiful' singer - who announced her split from
husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her two-year-old son Max, in
October - has been linked to Matt Rutler over recent weeks and the pair
flew to his hometown of New York over the weekend after she had to
spend Thanksgiving (25.11.10) in Los Angeles without Max.
A source said: "This is the first Thanksgiving she was without Max. It
was really hard for her and she was feeling sad, so she decided to go
to the East Coast with Matt and a group of friends.
"Since his family lives so close, they decided to drop in for a few hours."
However, friends insist this doesn't mean Christina and Matt - who met
on the set of her film 'Burlesque' - are getting serious about each
other and they are keen to take things slowly.
One pal told People: "They're still getting to know each other better."
As well as meeting Matt's mother, Christina recently revealed she is "entering a new chapter" in her life.
The 29-year-old star said: "I'm doing good - really, really good.
Sometimes change is necessary. I'm entering a whole different chapter
in my life now with the movie, and my son, and being a mother - the
next evolution in my life. And it feels good - it feels really good."
