Leaving Araby Featured in YourFindit Interview

Leaving Araby frontman, Justin Reynolds, speaks in YourFindit interview with Rebecca Firth.

Leaving Araby, hailing from Athens, GA, has grown a lot over the past three years.  After multiple lineup changes and four EP releases, Leaving Araby frontman, Justin Reynolds, is confident that the band’s music has evolved into something more dynamic and intricate.  A melodic mix of pop, rock and indie, Leaving Araby draws inspiration from famous authors such as James Joyce and TS Elliot as well as musical influences from Jimmy Eat World, The Killers, Coldplay and Radiohead.

Hear Justin Reynolds talk about the band and its music in the Leaving Araby interview on the band’s YourFindit profile at www.yourfindit.com/leavingaraby.

Leaving Araby recently released a four track album entitled Stasis.  The album was produced by local producer Matt Malpass, who has worked with numerous artists and bands including Lydia, Rookie of the Year, XO (of Say Anything), and Copeland.  Reynolds was honored to work with Malpass and highly recommends his services as an engineer.  Musically, Reynolds feels that the band has reached a turning point with the EP and noted the band’s evolution from a Taking Back Sunday inspired emo band to the music they create today.

Leaving Araby will be in their hometown, Athens, tonight, October 2, at the Caledonia Lounge with The Warm Fuzzies.  The show starts at 10:00 pm.  Contact the band through the Leaving Araby profile on YourFindit for ticketing information.  The band will also be performing for a To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) Benefit in Auburn, Alabama October, 8.  TWLOHA is a non profit organization that is committed to bringing hope to those who feel like self mutilation and suicide are their only choices.  The band is a strong supporter of the organization and plans on continuing their involvement with the group in the future.
