December 1, 2010, Boston, MA… Many Massachusetts appliance customers already know the benefits of outfitting their kitchens with the latest equipment from Yale Appliances, and during this holiday season, all kitchen owners will get a chance to see what makes Yale special. All throughout December, homeowners are invited to submit pictures of their
kitchen appliances for a chance to win the “Yale’s Best Kitchen” contest and have a catered dinner prepared in their home by Chef Kurt von Kahle.
Chef Kurt, a veteran of premier restaurants including Legal Sea Foods, where he managed their popular catered clam bakes, currently runs
Kurt’s Kitchen, a culinary training and catering center that provides elite dining experiences to both private parties and corporations. Chef Kurt has trained with the manufacturers of leading kitchen appliance brands, and his dining events help ensure that amateur chefs are aware of all the great features their appliances possess.
“The capabilities of the modern kitchen appliances we carry are remarkable, whether it’s a Viking Range induction cooktop or a
Bosch dishwasher,” said Steve Sheinkopf, owner of Yale Appliance and Lighting. “We think there’s no better way to fulfill the potential of a top-notch kitchen than with a cooking demonstration provided by one of the regions’ leading chefs. We’re big fans of Kurt’s cooking, and we know he’s going to make one of our contestants and their friends very happy.”
To be eligible to win the “Yale’s Best Kitchen” contest, contestants can e-mail pictures of their appliance-filled kitchens to contest@yaleappliance.com. The pictures will be posted online in a photo album on the
Yale Facebook page, where fans can vote for their favorite kitchens by “liking” them. The winner, chosen from the top three most-liked pictures at the end of December, will be featured on the Yale blog at http://yaleappliance.blogspot.com and receive both an in-home cooking demo and a catered dinner for eight people.
Yale ran a Bosch kitchen contest this past summer in which customers in dire need of a kitchen makeover submitted pictures and videos, with the winner receiving a suite of new Bosch kitchen appliances to help with their renovation. For the holiday contest, Yale wants to reward contestants who value both design and functionality in their kitchens.
“Our relationship with our customers doesn’t end when they leave our showroom,” said Sheinkopf. “We love seeing where our appliances fit into our customers’ unique kitchens, and contests like this are a chance for us to see some amazing kitchens complete with all the latest appliances we sell here at Yale.”
