Giants agrees to resign Pat Burrell

The Giants have agreed to resign Pat Burrell for a one year contract if he passes a pending physical according to FanHouse.  This deal will be for a discounted salary that includes incentives.

Burrell hit a.202 with the Rays and was released. The Giants picked him on a low-risk flier, and he flourished.  He proved that he could be a key player with the right lineup.  Burrell hit 18 homers in 96 regular-season games with the Giants, with a .364 on-base percentage.
