The meeting takes place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Eagles host the Houston Texans tonight at Lincoln Financial Field. Though much of the media attention this week has been on the on field fight Andre Johnson took part in last Sunday, the star wide receiver managed to avoid a suspension and has been focused on the Eagles all week.
This has to worry the Eagles because their best cornerback, Asante Samuel, may be out for this week following a knee injury. He is listed as questionable for the game, but was limited in practice, so it is unknown how much he will be able to play. This holds doubly true for a Thursday night game with only a few days off to rest.
Both of these teams are at or near the top of their division, meaning they each need a victory to remain in the playoff pictures. The Texans have had big years from the reliable Johnson and the breakout Arian Foster, but need to put everything together to win some games.
The Eagles likewise need Michael Vick to continue on the path that he has taken this year, winning the starting spot and wowing America in the process. Vick has over 300 yards through the air in his last three games and the Texans pass defense second from the bottom in the NFL.
The Texans will also be looking for the first victory against the Eagles in franchise history, having lost twice to them before. The game can only be seen on the NFL Network.
