National League Playoff Schedule: Chicago Cubs Face Must-Win Game Three as LA Dodgers Look to Advance

The Chicago Cubs spent the entire regular season compiling the best regular season record in the National League as well as the best record at home yet they dropped the first two games of the NLDS to the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-2 and 10-3 at Wrigley Field and now face a must win Game Three in LA or their best-of-five series is over.

Chicago has looked awful in their first two games as pitching in Game One gave up too many walks, their defense committed four errors in Game Two and their bats have been relatively silent throughout. They’ll put their playoff lives on the arm of Rich Harden (10-2 2.07 ERA, 5-1 1.78 ERA with Cubs)) on Saturday. After dropping his first decision with Chicago Harden rattled off five wins. He did not face the Dodgers this year.

Los Angeles will look to complete their sweep with Hiroki Kuroda (9-10 3.73 ERA) on the mound. Kuroda has won his last two decisions but has not won three consecutive decisions all year. He was 1-1 against the Cubs this year but if the bats of Manny Ramirez, James Loney and Russell Martin continue to produce like they did in the first two games they won’t need an outstanding effort from Kuroda.

First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET.
