AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #12 Florida Gators Use Balanced Attack to Beat Arkansas Razorbacks

Tim Tebow threw for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Jeffrey Demps rushed for 103 yards and two TDs on nine carries and Chris Rainey added another 103 yards on the ground and a score as the #12 Florida Gators (4-1, 2-1) topped the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-3, 0-2) 38-7 on Saturday in an SEC showdown.

Tebow put the Gators in the endzone in the first quarter with a 2-yard toss to Brandon James and in the second quarter Demps scored eth first of his TDs on a 36-yard run and Florida went into halftime with a 14-0 lead.

That lead was extended to 17-0 in the third quarter on a Jonathan Phillips 37-yard field goal but Arkansas tried to fight their way back as Michael Smith got the Razorbacks on the scoreboard with a 6-yard TD run to pull within 17-7.

Florida mad sure there would be no repeat of last week as they poured it on in the fourth quarter as Tebow hit Percy Harvin on a 21-yard touchdown pass, Rainey scored on a 75-yard run and Demps capped it all off with his second score of the game, a 48-yard burst in the final minute.

The Gators will host #3 LSU next week while Arkansas travels to Auburn.
