AP Top 25 College Football Week 6 Rankings: Oklahoma Sooners and Alabama Crimson Tide Hold Steady, Missouri Tigers Now at #3
The AP Top 25 college football rankings for Week 6 have been released and with a blow-out victory on Saturday the Oklahoma Sooners remain #1 while the Alabama Crimson Tide struggled but avoided an upset bid from Kentucky to hold the #2 spot this week.
Missouri took advantage of an off week for the LSU Tigers as they blasted Nebraska to move up to #3, dropping idle LSU to #4.
The Texas Longhorns, Penn State Nittany Lions and Texas Tech Red Raiders each held their spots at 5, 6 and 7 after picking up wins.
Moving back up the AP Top 25 this week is the USC Trojans who now sit at #8 after beating Oregon in impressive fashion; their bump came at the expense of BYU who fell to #9 despite beating Utah State.
The idle Georgia Bulldogs round out the Top 10.
