Kirsten Dunst used to love watching prostitutes tout for businesses when she was younger.
The 28-year-old actress used to ask her mother to drive
past "hookies" on the streets in the Meatpacking District of New York
City when she was a child going to auditions, but believes people in
the 'Big Apple' are less likely to see such shady dealings these days.
She said: "I remember when I was younger, driving around New York with
my mom and going to auditions. I'd be like, 'Mom drive us by the
hookies!' Hookers. I called them hookies.
"There was one street in the Meatpacking District where they all lined
up. So I was definitely a part of the dangerous New York when I was
younger.
"But now I feel like New York is so safe. I can walk down the street by
myself. When I was younger, my mom was like, 'Hold my hand!' It was
always a little sketchy. But now Times Square is like Disneyland."
Kirsten has also revealed she relies on the advice on her girlfriends more than anyone else.
The 'Marie Antoinette' star - who previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal and
Razorlight rocker Johnny Borrell - trusts the opinions of her friends
so much she would even dump a guy if they thought he wasn't right for
her.
She told Vanity Fair magazine: "I know to go for the good dudes. I
think if your girlfriends don't like him, it's probably for a good
reason. You're not picking up on something."
