Cobalt
International Energy, Inc.,(NYSE:CIE) jumps 9% to $12.52 on hefty volume after Morgan
Stanley started coverage on the stock with an overweight rating.
The firm sees upside in Cobalt's plans to drill one
to two exploration wells in Angola in 2011, a region it estimates being among
the best potential of any offshore exploration worldwide.
Catalyst
Pharmaceutical Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRX) fell 4.55% to
$1.05 after it registered to sell up to $30 million of stock and/or warrants, a
move that could lead to highly dilutive equity offerings.
Dollar
Financial Corp. (NASDAQ:DLLR) rose 1.61% to $27.70
and made a new 52-week high of $27.76 after it agreed to acquire Sweden-based
Sefina Finance AB for about $73 million in a deal that will expand its pawn
lending business into Sweden and Finland.
Gentex
Corporation (NASDAQ:GNTX) climbed 11.20% to $25.38 and made
a new 52-week high of $26.28 following it announced its board of directors
authorized a quarterly cash dividend of 11 cents per share that will be payable
January 21.
