Video: John McCain Attacks Barack Obama Over Relationship with Bill Ayers in New Ad

Republican presidential candidate John McCain has launched an attack ad on Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, tying the Illinois Sen. to the controversial “domestic terrorist” William Ayers.

In the new commercial McCain outlines the relationship shared between Obama and Ayers, tracing Obama’s birth into politics to the living room of Ayers. The ad then links the two to a “radical educational foundation,” the Chicago Annenberg Challenge,that distributed millions of dollars to ideological allies with no discernible results.

Ayers’ history as the leader of the violent Weather Underground is also pointed out along with his ties to the bombing of the Capitol, the Pentagon as well as a judge’s home. A quote from Ayers noting “I feel we didn’t do enough” follows the list of acts mentioned.

The ad concludes with a statement declaring the issue isn’t about Ayers but rather, Obama’s judgement and candor.
