Sarah Jessica Parker believes she "owes" it to women to make high-quality clothes.
The 'Sex and
the City' actress is the president of iconic label Halston and says customers
will not be disappointed with the latest collections because she's made sure
they are of a great standard.
Sarah Jessica - who played fashionista Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the City' -
told America's ELLE magazine: "The people who've been good to me because
of Carrie - that's lovely. But I don't think I should hang my hat on that.
"I owe a woman much more; that's why, honestly, a poorly sewn dress is not
acceptable. If she's going to put down 400 hard-earned dollars because of how
she feels about me, I owe her something worth her money."
As well as making sure the products are high-quality, the 45-year-old star has
previously said she takes great pride in her job at Halston and is involved in
every process.
She said: "I will never dip in and out of this. I'll be involved down to
the splitting of the atom.
"I can't always tell you the exact blends of fabric, but I figure it
out."
