AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #6 Penn State Nittany Lions Travel to Face Wisconsin Badgers

#6 Penn State Nittany Lions will battle Wisconsin Badgers in a Big Ten matchup on Saturday at 8pm EST on ESPN.

Penn State head coach Joe Paterno may be coaching from the press box after suffering a hip injury in practice. Either way, he will be coaching one of the most balanced teams in the country.

Penn State (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) is eighth in the nation in rushing offense (256.67 ypg), ninth in total offense (499.67) and seventh in scoring offense (44.83 ppg).

On offense, they are led by quarterback Daryll Clark and running backs Evan Royster and Stephon Green. Clark leads the Big Ten conference in passing efficiency, throwing nine touchdowns and one interception. Royster, whose 7.8 yards-per-carry average ranks eighth in the nation, and Green have combined for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The receiving corps is led by Deon Butler, Derrick Williams and Jordan Norwood. Butler and Norwood have 318 and 311 receiving yards, respectively, while Williams offers more of a dual-threat as a receiver and returner. Williams is third in the nation in kick returning.

On defense, Penn State is just as impressive. The Nittany Lions defense is top 25 in the nation in every major defensive category: total defense (8th), pass efficiency (8th), scoring defense (9th), rushing defense (11th) and pass defense (23rd).

Wisconsin (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten) is recovering from a two-game losing streak. Running back P.J. Hill is one of the best running backs in the country, ranking fourth in the Big Ten in rushing yards. Travis Beckum, arguably the best tight end in the country, has just 12 catches for 128 yards this season.

Wisconsin has a lot to prove after entering the season, picked to be second in the Big 10 after Ohio State, whom they lost to last week on a late-game scoring drive.
