PETE’S PLUMBING INC. OFFERS $25 OFF LABOR AS INCENTIVE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF $1,500 FEDERAL TAX CREDIT FOR ECO-FRIENDLY WATER HEATER INSTALLATION

Tax Credit Ends on December 31, 2010

Pete’s Plumbing Inc., a family-owned and operated full-service residential and commercial plumbing company that serves Alpharetta, Georgia and nearby areas, announced that it is trying to encourage more homeowners to take advantage of the still available $1,500 federal tax credit for tankless water heater installation by offering a $25 discount on labor. Homeowners must hurry because the tax credit expires on December 31, 2010.

The federal tax credit was established under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This was one of many measures that were enacted to incentivize homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient as well as stimulate the economy through the production of more energy efficient devices.

This particular environmental tax credit has specific rules for qualification. The tankless water heater must be installed and in use by December 31, 2010 in the taxpayer’s primary U.S. residence. Any eco-friendly water heaters installed prior to 2009 or in a secondary property from 2009 forward do not qualify for this tax credit.

Julie Lippitt, President of Pete’s Plumbing, said, “We realize that, with the holidays upon us, many homeowners may not be thinking about eco-friendly water heater installations. However, for those seeking further tax relief on their taxes this year or who are determined to lower their utility bills may want to consider gifting themselves with a tankless water heater. Our technicians are readily available to quickly and efficiently install one of these new green plumbing devices. Our special savings of $25 on labor costs is a gift to our customers this holiday season.”

Lippitt added, “An alternative for homeowners to consider is a hybrid water heater, which are ENERGY STAR® qualified and can also qualify for a federal tax credit of $450 or more. The tax savings is dependent on the retail price and installation cost of the heat pump hybrid water heater as well as the homeowner’s income level. Again, our professionals can help to install these eco-friendly options so that homeowners save on their taxes and utilities as they start the new year.”

Contact Pete’s Plumbing to schedule the tankless water heater installation before December 31, 2010 to get the tax credit and take advantage of Pete’s Plumbing’s current coupon savings on labor costs.  Further information about the tankless water heater tax credit is available at: www.energystar.gov.
