#21 Wake Forest Demon Deacons defeated Clemson Tigers, 12-7, in a game that has two struggling offenses.
Riley Skinner threw a 7-yard scoring pass to D.J. Boldin with 5:28 left to lead the Demon Deacons over the Tigers, who have suffered their third loss early into the season.
Skinner completed 22 of 34 passes for 186 yards, added 74 more yards rushing. The Demon Deacons outgained Clemson 342-198 to snap a two-game losing streak in the series.
The Clemson offense struggled terribly as quarterback Aaron Harper completed just 15-of-35 passes for 177 yards for one touchdown. James Davis and CJ Spiller, who left the game after injuring his left leg in the second quarter, combined for just 14 carries for 35 yards.
Alphonso Smith, one of the nation's best cornerbacks, caught his 17th interception, tying a school record.
