6 and 3 Year Old Caught Burglarizing Louisiana House

Three children ages 6 and 3 are accused of being the world's smallest burglars after they were caught pilfering Little Debbie cakes and a board game on Saturday.

Police in Covington, Louisiana, said the little thieves, two 6-year-olds and a 3-year-old, broke into a house and stole a game of Candy Land, a box of Fudge Rounds, a jar of vegetables, two hammers, money,  and a pack of cigarettes, according to the Times-Picayune.

When the homeowner returned from a shopping trip, he caught the pint-sized prowlers and called the police.

The kiddie bandits were still close by when officers arrived, and were found playing across the street. When confronted by police, one child even produced what looked like a handgun, though it was later revealed to be a BB gun.

Though Louisana state law prevented police from arresting the miniature offenders, the homeowner could choose to take action against the mother, who was not present at the time of the burglary.

Where was she? At a parenting class, a cousin told the police.
