Retired Alabama Minister Charged With Sodomizing Florida Teenage Boy

Police in Geneva, Alabama, have charged a 74-year-old retired minister with felony second-degree sodomy on a teenage boy from Florida.

Geneva police Lt. Ricky Morgan said Davis  had met the boy at church in Holmes County, Fla., and then "lured him in and befriended him." Morgan said the alleged abuse happened in both Florida and Alabama.

Davis is being held at the Geneva County jail on $25,000 bond after he turned himself in Tuesday. Morgan said Davis retired from the ministry five years ago. Davis faces two to 20 years in prison if convicted of the class B felony crime of second-degree sodomy.

It was unclear whether Davis had an attorney. A listed phone number could not be found for the retired minister.
