An overdue library book has landed a woman in jail in the US.
Jessekah Few, 25, failed to turn up to court about the unreturned books and was arrested by police in Baytown, Texas.
Police department detective Alan Cliburn said: "It's not a very common
charge. It's part of the deal, part of the agreement that you enter
into.
"It's just like anything else - you can't take something that doesn't belong to you and just hold onto it."
The woman claims the books were destroyed in a house fire.
