Seve Ballesteros, the 51-year-old golfing legend with two Masters wins and three Open Championship titles, has left the intensive care unit at Madrid’s La Paz hospital and has been listed in stable condition after being last Monday following an epileptic fit.
Ballesteros is still undergoing tests and awaiting results but he released a statement on Thursday saying “I am feeling very well.”
On his official Web site Ballesteros expressed his gratitude for his friends and fans noting “wish to personally thank all of those who are concerned about my health condition.”
The Spaniard retired from golf in 2007.
