The 'Only Girl (In The World)' singer – who performed on
the programme earlier this year - has agreed to be paired up with the Essex
painter and decorator in a bid to help him win the hit ITV1 show, it was
confirmed at a press conference this afternoon (08.12.10).
Christina Aguilera - who will appear on the TV talent
show to promote a new song from her film 'Burlesque' – will sing with Cheryl
Cole’s finalist, mum-of-two Rebecca Ferguson.
Meanwhile, Cheryl’s other protege Cher Lloyd will follow
in her mentor’s footsteps by teaming up with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am and
Take That star Robbie Williams will perform with Simon Cowell’s boy band One
Direction.
Cher told BANG Showbiz: "I want to go out with a
bang. You know what I mean? It's not like I'm going to win, let's think about
it correctly. On the other hand, I've got Mr will.i.am with me so I'm just
going to rock it out."
The songs to be performed by the international stars and
pop hopefuls have not yet been confirmed.
Some changes have been made to this year’s format with
four finalists instead of three. One person will be eliminated on Saturday
night while another will leave the competition halfway through Sunday’s
(12.12.10) show.
It has also been announced that all of the contestants
will have an individual winner’s song instead of competing for the same one.
