World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group One Results for Oct. 11
With Albania, Sweden and Denmark sitting on four points heading into Saturday’s action in Group One play of the World Cup 2010 European Qualifier there was significant importance in how things turned out at the end of the day.
Denmark now sits alone atop Group One play after they blanked Malta 3-0. They had already played to a draw with Hungary and knocked off Portugal in their opening two matches.
Hungary played themselves right back into the thick of things while sending Albania to a disappointing 2-0 loss on Saturday. Hungary had already earned a draw with Denmark and lost to Sweden.
Sweden remained unbeaten in Group One play as they earned another draw, playing to a 0-0 end with Portugal who were looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Denmark in their last match.
