Prilosec OTC has come on board as a sponsor of the U.S.
Putting Tour as part of its Official Sponsor program to sponsor real people in
pursuit of their real passions.
"I'm very grateful to Prilosec OTC for their support of the U.S. Putting
Tour," said USPT president, Jim Hartley. "And what a natural fit - a
heartburn medication sponsoring a putting tour; clearly golfers know a lot
about heartburn."
Hartley added that the new amateur putting tour is a unique golf sponsorship
program for companies and brands because it has a yearlong nationwide
grassroots component and an annual national championship.
The U.S. Putting Tour is offering this golf sponsorship opportunity to companies and brands in a number of industries, including
golf equipment, golf balls, golf apparel, automotive, banking, insurance,
investment and retirement services, energy products, and sun care, among
others.
Sponsorship programs will run for the full 2011 calendar year, which will
encompass the USPT National Championship in late September and beyond. The USPT
will work with sponsors on developing marketing and promotional campaigns, an
on-site presence at local qualifying events and the national championship, and
corporate hospitality programs.
