NFL Week 6 Scores: Arizona Cardinals Block Punt in OT to Shock Dallas Cowboys

Kurt Warner threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns, Steve Breaston had 102 yards receiving and a TD and Larry Fitzgerald had 79 yards through the air and a touchdown but it was the special teams of the Arizona Cardinals (4-2) that was the difference in a 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys (4-2) on Sunday.

Arizona stunned Dallas right away as J.J. Arrington took the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead but the Cardinals couldn’t find the endzone for the rest of the half and the Cowboys were able to tie the score late in the second quarter when Tony Romo hit Patrick Crayton on a 55-yard touchdown pass.

Romo put the Cowboys in front midway through the third quarter when he found Miles Austin on a 14-yard touchdown but Warner answered for the Cardinals when he hit Fitzgerald on a 2-yard toss to even the score at 14-14.

Arizona then moved in front on a Warner to Breaston 11-yard touchdown early in the fourth and when Neil Rackers kicked a 41-yard field goal with 3:17 left in the game it looked like Arizona had the game in hand but Romo hit Marion Barber on a short pass and it turned into a 70-yard touchdown to cut their deficit to 24-21 with two minutes left.

Dallas then forced Arizona to punt and worked their way down the field and set up a 52-yard field goal from Nick Folk which tied the game as time expired.

The Cowboys the coin flip in overtime and took possession first but after three plays failed to get them anything they were forced to punt and Arizona broke the line and blocked the kick with Monty Beisel picking it up fell three yards into the endzone for the win.
