North Korea has once again opened access to its Yongbyon nuclear site to UN monitors following Saturday’s announcement by the United States that the country would be removed from a list of state sponsors of terrorism.
Just last week North Korea refused to grant access to UN monitors after declaring the deal that promised diplomatic incentives for their promise to disable their nuclear plant. North Korea refused entry into the Yongbyon plant to UN members of the nuclear watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency.
North Korea had begun to dismantle their nuclear site but stopped when the U.S. refused to remove them from the terrorism list.
